Dan Dibble Top Truck Challenge  2006

I was proud to be able to sponsor Dan Dibble in his TTC event back in 2006.  For those of you not familiar with  TTC, it is a yearly event in Hollister, Ca. for armature offroaders to show off their vehicles and compete in several different events that span the different offroad challenges we face.
It starts out with 100's of folks sending their vehicle information into the committee to get picked as one of the 50 finalist, those 50 are then posted in Four Wheeler magazine for the readers to vote on the 10 they would most like to see compete, after all the votes were tallied Dan Dibble's vehicle was one of the ones chosen to compete.

Here are some specs on the vehicle:
  • Chassis:                     Four seat ASM built by Frankies Offroad
  • Engine:                      GM 454 full roller w/ Howell injection
  • Transmission:            TCI full comp. TH400, rev. man. valve body, Art Carr shifter
  • Transfer Case:           Atlas II 3.0:1
  • Axle Housings:          2.5T Rockwells
  • Lockers:                    Ouverson Engineering front and rear
  • Ring&Pinion:             6.72:1
  • Front Axle Shafts:     Ouverson Engineering 47spline 2" Chromo 4340
  • Rear Axle Shafts:      Ouverson Engineering 47spline 2" Chromo 4340
  • Brakes:                      Willwood
  • Shocks:                     Coilovers
  • Steering:                   Howe Full Hydro front and rear
  • Winch:                      Warn front, Superwinch rear
  • Wheels:                    Custom double beadlocks
  • Tires:                        44" Interco Boggers

And here is a little on the team:
Dan is not a professional competitor, infact the TTC event was his first real competition.  Dan is a home fabricator and builder and NEVER scrimps on the details.
Even though Dan never competed before, he still managed to take not only 3rd place at the TTC comp. but also took home the judges choice award.  Dan has since sold this rig and is currently working on something even bigger and badder that this one, can't wait to see how it comes out.

And here are a few pix:
